At Goldadors Australia, we bring together the best of two of the most beloved breeds the Golden Retriever and the Labrador Retriever. Our dedicated, multi-generational breeding program is designed to preserve the most endearing traits of both breeds with a strong focus on improving genetic health.

Goldadors are celebrated for their friendly, affectionate personalities and their playful yet gentle natures especially around children.

All of our puppies are lovingly raised in our family home in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW, on a 40 acre farm surrounded by forests, paddocks, and natural waterways. This natural environment provides the perfect foundation for raising confident and well-socialised puppies.

With comprehensive health screening and the ongoing guidance of a veterinary geneticist and breeding specialist, we are committed to shaping the Goldador into the ultimate lifelong companion.

While our dogs are primarily bred to be adored family pets, their lineage in proven service dog lines means that some puppies display qualities ideal for therapeutic or assistance work. We are proud to support the early development of these exceptional dogs through trusted partnerships with established assistance dog programs..

 Standard of excellence

  • From the moment puppies are born in our home, we gently guide their development with early exposure to the sights, sounds, and rhythms of a lively family household.

We begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) from days 3 to 16, laying the foundation for confident, resilient puppies. Their development continues with daily enrichment activities guided by the principles of Puppy Culture. Through consistent, reward-based training, we nurture desired behaviours and foster a love of learning with children and adults.

As they grow, the puppies benefit from structured exposure to our full-time dog care business, safely interacting with a variety of vaccinated dogs of all breeds and sizes. This supervised socialisation helps build confidence and strong canine communication skills.

Our children aged 7 and 13 play an active role in the puppies daily lives creating positive early experiences with children. The puppies also join us on school runs, errands, and car rides to build confidence with the everyday routines of family life.

  • To be part of our breeding program our dogs are extensively health screened and undergo:

    Genetic testing with Orivet Australia

Hip and elbow scoring with radiologist Dr Roger Lavelle

Eye certification with ophthalmology specialist Dr Yvette Crowe

  • We are registered and recognised breeders with RightPaw. Every breeder listed on RightPaw undergoes a thorough verification process, including vet and health testing checks, a home tour, and adherence to a vet-approved Code of Ethics.

  • Puppies are gradually weaned from their mother between 5 - 7 weeks of age and transitioned to biologically appropriate fresh meals which provide optimal nutrition for their rapid growth.

New owners are supported to continue feeding fresh vet formulated meals with Lyka who offer a 50% off discount code.

  • We support our puppies and their new families with training advice, holiday boarding on our farm and rehoming assistance if ever needed.

“We see lots of puppies and I just wanted to say how well-mannered and behaved they were as we rarely see a litter like yours for vaccination. They were mature, calm, patient and responsive to instruction and examination. There was no need to struggle holding them and each and every puppy was a delight to handle.

It just shows how early education of puppies can reap such great rewards”

2024: Honey x Wallace

Repeat litter planned for 2025

“One of Goldador Australia’s beautiful pups recently joined our family. Our pup is testament to the care that Rachel and her family have taken in the breeding of their dogs . They have focussed on temperament and soundness in their dogs and the results show in the puppies.

Our pup Lillie is gentle and calm as well as curious, intelligent and adaptable. A dog is a long term commitment that requires the right dog for the right home. Rachel took care to make sure her puppies were going to appropriate homes and I greatly respect that attitude. Rachel welcomed and encouraged all our questions.

After 30 years as a vet I applaud anyone breeding dogs for health and temperament and as an owner I am delighted with our new family member”
